The school is currently operating three (3) departments. These are the crèche, pre-school and primary. A vibrant cultural troop, a dynamic cadet corp. inaugurated under the 5th Battalion Infantry (5BN) a sensational choreography club directed by a staff from the National Theatre, French club, English club, Red Cross and Music Club are some of the Extra-Curricular activities being organized by the school to develop the socio-academic aspect of our Pupil.

These activities, coupled with the full G.E.S. curriculum is aimed at achieving the goal of the school which is“ALWAYS ADDING GREAT VALUE” to our Pupils academic, moral, emotional, social and spiritual development. This is one edge which the Phiga School has over other growth educational institutions in the country.

The school, which was started in September 2004 with a Pupil population of 7, grew to 25 after the first term. The next academic year saw an astronomical growth from the 25 pupils to 75. By the end of 2006, the school could humbly boast of a student population of 128. Between 2008 and 2009, the school had to enroll over 100 children to boost the strength of the school. The school has from its inception organized five (5) fabulous graduation ceremonies, each with a rich, cultural, choreography and cadet displays to the admiration of parents, teachers, management, pupil, invited guests etc.

We owe the growth of the school partly to the splendid display of academic excellence of the kids, as well as the other ingredients we put into the graduation ceremony. The Phiga School started with one (1) trained teacher but currently has fourteen (14) qualified and experienced teaching staff and three (3) Ministry of Health approved cooks. One (1) Intelligent and smart looking day security in addition to the proprietress (herself a seasoned trained teacher) and an affable Headmaster who runs the day to day administration of the school.

Challenges: It has not been very smooth, running a school with parents who are semi-employed and/or monthly salary workers. Month endings have always been threatening financial moments. To prove the best of education means employing the best staff and offering attractive remuneration to both attract and maintain the trained and qualified teachers. This has not been an easy venture.
As we always provide the best of care in relation to both in and out of class activities, many parents from far and near wish to have their kids enrolled at phiga, hence the added burden to provide adequate and conducive environment for both teachers and pupils.
How do we meet these and the other challenges we are daily confronted with? It is not our policy to be sending kids home for fees but when we are pushed to the wall, we escort the children home. From our meager resources, bank loans, school fees etc, we have sailed through many of these challenges.

In the distant future, we at Phiga hope to achieve our objective of havingPHIGA ACADEMY, an academic institution, which will compose of a crèche, pre-school, primary school, J.H.S, S.H.S. together with vocational and technical schools, with an orphanage home to cater for both the privileged  and the handicapped in society.

We intend achieving this goal on the ten plots of land already acquired under the GA West District Assembly. With the guidance and providence of God, we believe we can achieve this objective in our life time. How can you be a sponsorer, partner or a supporter in order for us to achieve our aim?
